The Fresh Fire for Kingdom Advancement Conference, organized by GOMovement Nigeria in conjunction with all churches under the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo State, was an avenue for Christians and Ministers of God to refresh their souls.
The conference with the theme, “Supernatural Evangelism,” also provided an opportunity to encourage Ministers of God to improve on evangelism.
The programme, according to the National Coordinator of GOMovement Nigeria, Reverend (Prof) Andrew Oladepo is a catalyst aimed at encouraging the church and steer up fire of the revival for Evangelism.
Oladepo said: “What we are here for is not just for Oyo State but all over Nigeria. We want to see that church go back to Evangelism. The only way we can transform the nation is to safe the soul. When the soul is safe, you have taken away drugs, iniquity and all vices that can bring the nation down.We are to make sure that leaders of the church go back to the basis. The great commission is the solution for world peace.”
He also encouraged the people to be a blessing to one another by reaching out to those less privileged among them, adding that it is the only way the nation can be changed for the better.
Also, a prominent cleric, Dr. Olatunde Oladoyinbo said the conference is a preparatory meeting towards an upcoming programme expected to start on May 1st to May 31st, so that entire body of Christ can carry the good news that there is hope for Oyo State and Nigeria, as well individuals regardless of the economic situation of the country.
His words: “The Church of God must be at the vanguard of righteousness because righteousness exalts the nation. If we live right, the nation will turned right. For Nigeria, we need to mend our ways and repent. There is too much evil in the land. Corruption and Nepotism is killing us, hence the need for people to repent from all of our sins.”.
Other notable clerics who spoke at the programme including the CAN Chairman Oyo state Apostle Colonel Joshua Akinyemiju (Rtd) Chairman Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria Oyo state Reverend Samson Ajetomobi emphasised the need for Ministers of God to dwell more on Evangelism to gain more souls for Christ .
The conference, held at the Assembly of God Church, Mokola, Ibadan, had in attendance prominent Christian clerics from far and near.
