The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has commended the people of the state for coming out to perform their civic responsibilities at local level.
The governor gave the commendation after casting his vote at Abayomi open space Iwo road, Ward 011, unit 1, Ibadan North East LGA of Oyo State.
Governor Seyi Makinde arrived at Ibadan North East Local Government Ward 11, unit 01 Iwo Road Ibadan at exactly 10: 27am to exercise his civic duty.
After passing through mandated screening process, the governor cast his vote for candidates of his choice.
While Addressing journalists immediately after voting, Governor Seyi Makinde who described the process as INEC Standard, expressed delight that his administration has successfully changed the narrative of Local Government election since he took the mantle of power five years ago.
While charging the candidates to accept the outcome of the election, governor Makinde equally implored them to channel any shortcomings noticed in the cause of the election through the relevant authority to deal with it.
As at the time the Governor was leaving the scene, Security Agencies were still on ground monitoring the situation.
