It was a time to dine and wine as Members of the National Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ Oyo state chapter gathered to celebrate the Emergence of the New Oyo NAWOJ Executive led by Comrade Omolola Alamu of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN Ibadan Network Centre.
The reception programme which was held at NUJ Press Centre Iyaganku Ibadan had in attendance Past union leaders Including Former National Sectary Nawoj Mrs Yinka Bode-Aare,Former Oyo Nawoj Chairperson Mrs Adekiitan Adeagbo,Former Zonal Director FRCN Mrs Bolatito Joseph, Chief Mrs Oye and two term secretary of the Oyo NUJ Comrade Rotimi Babalola
Also State chairman of NUJ Comrade Ademola Babalola, Secretary Comrade Sola Oladapo and Treasurer Comrade Akeem Abass were also present to grace and identified with
Comrade Omolola Alamu led Nawoj state Executives.
Addressing the gathering the state Chairman NUJ Comrade Ademola Babalola Charge the newly elected Oyo NAWOJ leaders to see their appointment as a call to serve.
While soliciting the support of Nawojians for the new executive Comrade Babalola urged Comrade Alamu to run all inclusive union for the betterment of the Oyo NAWOJ.
Also in his remarks,Former state Secretary of Oyo NUJ Comrade Rotimi Babalola pledge his support through advice for the success of Oyo Nawoj under Omolola Alamu.
Some NAWOJ stakeholders who spoke at the programme include Mrs Bolatito Joseph,Mrs Yinka Bode-Aare ,Pastor Mrs Adekiitan Adeagbo and Chief Mrs Oye urged the new executive to work harmoniously on unity of Members in all chapel for the advancement of Oyo NAWOJ.
The Stakeholders also stressed the need for the new executive of Nawoj to work on membership drive and shun any act that could tarnished the image of the Oyo NAWOJ
Earlier in her address,the state Chairperson Nawoj Comrade Omolola Alamu appreciated the Nawojians for their support and commitment towards restoring the lost glory of Oyo NAWOJ.
She promised to work harmoniously with her executive and other critical Stakeholders in Nawoj to bring much needed development to the association.
The event also had in attendance Some chapel chairmen including Comrade Dupe Fehintola of BCOS,Comrade Oluwakayode Banjo FRCN,Comrade Raji Adebayo Correspondent Chapel and Secretary of Information chapel Comrade Olamide Adeniji.
