Muslim faithful have been urged to maintain a harmonious relationship with one another and live as one family irrespective of tribe, ethnic or religious affiliations.
The admonition was part of a sermon delivered by Imam Alidu Khalid at gaa Alhaji Jimoh Alidu while observing Eid el Adha prayer.
Though Muslims across the World celebrated Eid el Adha yesterday but the situation differs in the principles and practice of Fulani settlers in oke ogun area.
While speaking,Imam Khalid said Allah mandated Muslims to perform the celebration of Eid el Adha for three days in which their own uniqueness, the celebration of Eid el Adha commences today.
In his views,Seriki fulani alaga, Alhaji Jimoh Alidu explained the importance of living together as one family regardless of one’s tribe or ethnicity.
He stressed that fulani settlers in Itesiwaju Local Government are peaceful and accommodating.
Seriki alaga and Imam Khalid emphasized that it is imperative for fulani, yoruba and other tribes to live as one for the progress and development of the state.
The duo used the occasion to congratulate the state governor,Engr Seyi Makinde and all traditional rulers across oke Ogun for witnessing this year’s eid el adha and assured them of their cooperation and unwaivering support towards the development of the state.
