Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora has Matriculated 2,273 students for 2023/2024 academic session in both National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes.

The successfully admitted students were offered admission into various faculties of the college to run National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in some courses that are available in the institution.

In a speech delivered at the event, the Institution’s Rector, Professor Akinola Akinlabi said the college is committed to turning out graduates who will be job creators and not job seekers.

The OYSCATECH Rector warned that the college would not condone any form of indiscipline or unruly behavior, acts of gangsterism, cultism or Indecent dressing.

The Rector also enjoined students to explore internal conflict resolution mechanisms by lodging any complaints promptly at the office of the Dean of Students Affairs, rather than breaching the College rules or taking the law into their own hands.

Professor Akinlabi further appreciated the support of the Visitor to the College and Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde especially as regards prompt payment of staff salaries and allowances .

He revealed that the College is currently working with the management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso and the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), towards the awarding of Degrees to HND holders through conversion.

“In Oyo state College of Agriculture and Technology Igboora our vision is not a football pitch ,nor a place for lazy drones. It is a place for diligence, studious, dedicated and ambitious students. It is a place for busy minds, who are committed to excellence.”

” The education, training and orientation you shall receive will equip you for the challenges of life outside the College. The programmes being run are designed to equip you with entrepreneurship skills so that at the end of your studies ,you shall have become job creators and not job seekers”

“The management is working assiduously to provide an enabling environment for teaching and research in the college. I can assure you that very soon, you will be enjoying facilities donated to us, courtesy of TETFUND, Women in Agriculture and Technology Education(WATEA),State and Federal Government,ITF,NCC , Galaxy Backbone, other individuals.”Rector said.

Administering the matriculation oath on the newly admitted students, the OYSCATECH Registrar, Mr Rasheed Adeniji charged them to be good ambassadors of the college.
