As part of efforts towards ensuring effective collaboration of relevant Stakeholders the National Association of Women Journalists Oyo state Chapter has paid a courtesy visit to Commander 671 Nigerian Air Force Station Ibadan Air Commodore George Akinyimika
According to the Number One Female Journalist in the state,the visit was part of the Nawoj agenda targeting at involving some relevant Stakeholders in gender equality campaign and good welfare for Nigerian women.
” We recognize the critical role the Nigerian Air Force plays in maintaining national security and protecting our citizens. Your selfless service and sacrifices are appreciated, and we are grateful for your dedication to our country’s peace and stability.
“As journalists, we acknowledge the importance of a strong and informed military-media relationship. We seek to strengthen our partnership with the Air Force to promote accurate and timely reporting of military activities and initiatives”
” Let us work together to promote a better understanding between the military and the media, and to serve our nation with honor and integrity”Alamu said
Oyo Nawoj also commended the Air Force’s efforts in promoting gender inclusivity and empowering female personnel,while encouraging the continuous support for gender equality and women’s empowerment in the military.
While receiving the Nawoj Chairperson Mrs Alamu and her entourage the Commander 671 Nigeria Air Force Station Ibadan Air Commodore George Akinyimika reiterated commitment to supporting Oyo Nawoj in its laudable programme at making a positive impact in lives of women.
Air Commodore Akinyimika said NAF 671 station Ibadan is committed to the welfare of its staff and gives priority attention to women in the Air Force.
He also emphasized the need for Nawoj and NAF 671 to work effectively in the area of Sensitization and awareness in order to reduce some challenges confronting the women in the state and the country at large.
