The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, Engr. Akeem Olatunji has designated portfolios to recently appointed Supervisory Councilors in the Council.

This follows the approval of their nominations by the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters and their consequent swearing in at the LG Secretariat, Idi-Ayunre, yesterday.

A statement by the executive chairman on Friday evening, indicates that the designation aims to streamline administrative functions for effective grassroots development across the local government.

While congratulating the new local government appointees, Olatunji urged them to see their appointments as a call to serve the people of Oluyole diligently pursuant to his grassroots sustainable development agenda in line with the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde.

“The newly appointed Supervisory Councilors, totaling nine in number, were carefully selected based on their competence and commitment to community service and our great party, the PDP.

“Their portfolios cover key sectors including Education, Health, Infrastructure, Agriculture, Environment, Account and Budget, and Social Services.

“Each portfolio assignment is tailored to align with the local government’s strategic development agenda aimed at improving living standards and infrastructure within our locality.” Olatunji said.

Speaking on the new appointments, Olatunji emphasized the importance of synergy and teamwork among all appointees, elected officers and career officials at the Council to achieve set goals within reasonable time.

He however, expressed confidence in the abilities of the newly appointed Supervisory Councilors to bring fresh ideas and initiatives that will positively impact the lives of residents in Oluyole Local Government Area.

“The assignments were made following thorough consultations and deliberations among stakeholders to ensure inclusivity and equity in representation across all wards within the local government.
