The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has suspended its indefinite strike in Oyo State, following the state government’s commitment to meeting their demands.
The association’s leadership, led by Comrade Adeyemi Samuel, announced the suspension in a statement released today.
Comrade Adeyemi stated that the strike was called off to allow for the implementation of the remaining approved requests.
He directed all members of the association across the state to resume duty from Wednesday, July 24th, 2024.
The Chairman expressed optimism that the state government would continue to meet their demands, commending Governor Seyi Makinde for his efforts in addressing their concerns.
He assured Governor Seyi Makinde of the association’s commitment to supporting the present administration in delivering sustainable healthcare services to the people of Oyo State.
