The Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu has urged Nigerians especially youths to remain calm and take the advantage of the various youth initiative programmes of President Bola Tinubu led administration
The Minister stated this at the Oyo State youth stakeholders Engagement tagged Connecting With The Youth held in Ibadan
Chief Adelabu who was represented by former National Deputy Youth leader Afeez Bolaji Repete said the Tinubu administration has made frantic efforts to put the country in the right direction through reforms.
He explained that the power sector has witnessed tremendous improvement in the last few months due to resuscitation of an already damaged power plant.
According to the Minister, the next few months with the support from Mr President the power generation in the country will definitely wear a new look through distribution of power generation.
The Minister who equally appeals to the youths to desist from participating in any protest that may paralyse the economy of the country.
Also the Special Assistant to the President On Youth Initiatives (Monitoring and Delivery) Titilope Gbadamosi pledged the support of her office towards ensuring that Oyo State youth benefited from various youth initiative programmes of President Bola Tinubu
She emphasized the need for youths especially students to make use of student loans provided by the federal government and other good initiatives tagged at reducing poverty and hunger in the country.
President Bola Tinubu Aide also charged youths rather than engaging in unproductive protest ,youth can make use of some laudable empowerment Programne of the federal government for the advancement of the country.
Some stakeholders including the State APC Youth leader,Yoruba,Arewa and other youth leaders cautioned some youths who want to participate in the protest to have a rethink and desist from any act that is capable of truncating the existing peace in the country.
Some organizers of the Stakeholders youth meeting including A prominent Youth advocate Comrade Femi Awogboro, Representative of supreme Forum for Yoruba Youths and others said the meeting was an eyes opener towards connecting With the youth .
The Event was attended by various youth leaders across the state and witnessed presentation of cheques to some youths to boost their business.
