In an effort to reduce hardship and hunger in society, A non profit organization known as Adebass Foundation has trained people of vocational skills to be self reliance .
The programme which was held at APC Akinyele local government secretariat Moniya Ibadan also had in attendance A member representing Akinyele -Lagelu Federal constituency in the house of representatives,Hon Lafisoye Akinmoyede and Political Stakeholders from each wards in the council area.
Presenting the certificate to the trainees,Hon Lafisoye Akinmoyede charged them to make Judicious use of the knowledge acquired from the training to improve their standards of living and contribute their quota to the development of the country.
According to the federal lawmaker, the government alone cannot successfully tackle the problem of unemployment in the country hence the need for people to continue to support the government through empowerment of people on vocational skills and provide jobs to the people in the country.
Hon Lafisoye Akinmoyede also commended the founder of Adebass Foundation Hon Abass Adeyemo for giving back to the society at this crucial time adding that this initiative will help a lot to reduce hunger and hardship in the land.
In his remarks,the founder Adebass Foundation Hon Abass Adeyemo said this one is one of the corporate social responsibilities of the foundation towards removing people from poverty.
Hon Adeyemo said the foundation has trained hundreds of people on different vocational skills in the last 5 years within the aim of making people job creators rather than job seekers.
Hon Adeyemo who identified with people of Akinyele local government especially at this critical time of the country said individuals, groups and well meaning Nigerians have a crucial role to play in reducing poverty in the country.
Some of the participants in their remarks lauded Hon Abass Adeyemo for giving them the opportunity to be among the beneficiaries adding that this would help them to have financial freedom and reduce poverty in the state.
Participants were drawn from all the 12 wards across the Akinyele local government area.
