The people of Otu land in Itesiwaju Local Government Area have been charged to key into the promotion of culture and tradition irrespective of their belief or religion in order to receive blessings and protection from their ancestors.

Oba Sunday Adepoju who could not hide his joy after the sacrificial goat was beheaded, expressed his delight to the impressive turnout of Otu indigenes and the symbolic call of nature that took place during the celebration.
The monarch who went down memory lane said the call of nature was an indication of the presence of their ancestors to the celebration.
He stressed that the interchange of the rain and sun that occurred during the celebration was a sign of communication of their ancestors to the people of Otu land.
The epoch event,held under the watch of the representatives of Aseyin of Iseyin,Oba Sefiu Olawale Ajirotutu 1led by the Bada of iseyin Chief Lateef Fasasi,Bale Omojoda Iseyin Chief Afeez Ajikanle,Mogaji Omojoda and Asiwaju Mr Sulaimon Asiru Taiwo aimed at fostering the age long cordial relationship between Oniro of Otu and late Aseyin of Iseyin Oba Abdul Ganiy Ajinase Oloogunebi.
While appreciating the Eleyinpo of Ipapo,he also used the occasion to explain the establishment of a cordial relationship between Iseyin and Otu and cited the chief law of 1957 and the chieftaincy law of Oyo State cap 28 year 2000 that centered on historical fact and antecedent that surrounds their friendship bonds.
Oba Sunday Adepoju admonished the people of the two communities to maintain the age-long ties.
In their separate remarks representatives of Aseyin of Iseyin congratulated the people of Otu on the historic occasion and urged them to always seek peace and eschew violence in the course of celebration.
The duo of Jagun of Otu High chief Samson Adekunle Adedokun and the Agoro of Otu chief Adedeji Moses while speaking on the significance of egungun festival urged the people of Otu to contribute their quota to the development of their father land.
The 2024 Otu Egungun festival featured Alapala, Gbenoloja, Dagboro, Tambeleke, Ofeeje and Aidadogo masquerades among others.
