In an effort to cushion the economic effect and addressing food inflation among the citizen of Ibadan and its environs, The George Aid foundation USA and it’s counterpart in Nigeria in collaboration with Rotary club of Ibadan Jericho Metro has presented food items to the freelance and Contract staff of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS).
Over 100 packs of Food Palliatives was distributed to some members of the Radio Television Theatre and Art Workers Union BCOS Chapter.
The President Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro Rotarian Salisu Afolabi while addressing the gathering said the collaboration with George Aid Foundation is part of their efforts to render services to humanity, such as effecting meaningful change in Oyo State
Rotarian Salisu Afolabi added that the palliative distribution is aimed at solving problems and challenges within Ibadan metropolis, by using their Time, Treasures and Talent.
Presenting the palliatives to the beneficiaries, the Chairman RATTAWU BCOS Comrade Kola Carew said the union will continue to prioritize the welfare of its members.
Comrade Carew also Commended the George Aid Foundation and Rotary club for collaborating with them in fulfilling his promise made to members of the union when he assumed the office as the RATTAWU BCOS Chairman
In his Goodwill message, the General manager BCOS Mr Goke Adelakun applauded the given spirit of the George aid Foundation that makes them partner with Rotary club of Ibadan Jericho Metro in addressing food inflation.
He called on well meaning individuals to also support the masses at this crucial time.
The Monthly food package presented consist of Rice, Cassava Flakes,fish, and other food Condiments.
