In a significant move to strengthen party unity, nine Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors have unanimously endorsed the suspension of Iliya Damagum as Acting National Chairman.
According to an aide to one of the governors, the decision was made during a virtual meeting held yesterday.
The governors also approved the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Alaghi, current PDP Treasurer, as the new Acting National Chairman.
The governors reaffirmed their dedication to building a stronger, more united PDP, prioritizing the party’s interests above individual agendas.
