In a bid to strengthen security architecture in all the 12 wards in Akinyele Local Government the council Chairman,Hon Akinwole Akinleye,has presented motorcycles,Rain Coats and Whistles to all security Operatives in the council area
The step was part of the Council’s efforts towards ensuring an effective security system in Akinyele Local Government especially at the grassroots and villages .
According to Hon Akinleye the equipment will further assist the security operatives to spread their network to some interior parts of the council area and further ensure effective collaboration among the security agencies
The council boss, explained that his administration is fully ready to wage war against every kind of criminality, which some of the hide out has been combed by the efforts of joint security operatives.
“since my assumption into office,this administration has done much in the area of security of life and property, knowing well that our Local Government is a mixed ethnic environment with people in the urban and rural areas. Asides this ,we have purchased a Siena bus for local joint security operatives with regular patrol.Town Hall meeting with the stakeholders on ways to better strengthen our security system.” Akinleye said
While appealing to the beneficiaries to make Judicious use of the equipment,the council Boss said the security of lives and property of the people of Akinyele local government will continue to be given utmost priority.
In his remarks,the Chairman Community Development Alhaji Lucas lauded Hon Wole Akinleye for his outstanding performance since his assumption into office.
The event had in attendance Heads of security operatives, Traditional Rulers Including Oniroko of Iroko,Alakinyele of Akinyele, Community leaders and Political Stakeholders in Akinyele Local Government.
