The leadership of the University of Ilorin has honored the Oyo state Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof.Salihu Adelabu with the institution’s Alumni Award .
Prof. Adelabu was among the few Nigerians honoured on Monday during the 2024 Convocation ceremony of the prestigious University, held at the University’s Multipurpose Hall.
The award was bestowed on Makinde’s Education Commissioner for demonstrating exceptional leadership, innovation, and service to the education sector of Oyo state and Country at large.
The prestigious Award was presented to him alongside his better half, Alhaja Agbaje Fausiat Olajumoke
Adelabu’s outstanding achievements and contributions to the education sector, as well as his commitment to the values of the University of Ilorin, made him an exemplary person for the honour.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Prof.Adelabu appreciated the distinguished Alumni for the award presentation, which he dedicated to the governor of Oyo State,Engr.’Seyi Makinde.
According to him, I appreciate the leadership of the association for deeming it fit to recognise my impactful contributions in the society.
This award would spur me to do more for my state and country at large.
