Members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists Oyo State Council have unanimously adopted Comrade AlHassan Yahyah as their Presidential Candidate in the November 26 Delegate Conference Election.
The decision was ratified following a motion moved by the Secretary State Information Chapel Comrade Olamide Adeniji and seconded by the Chairman BCOS Chapel Comrade Dupe Fehintola during the state Congress of the Union.
The Director General of A+A Campaign Team Comrade Ademola Babalola solicits the support of Oyo NUJ members towards ensuring the Victory of AlHassan Yahyah as the next National President of Union.
According to Babalola, Yahyah is the most experienced and qualified candidate with track records of achievements as State Council Chairman.
While addressing the members,the NUJ National Presidential Candidate Comrade AlHassan Yahyah said his administration is poised to bring much needed development to the Union through various reforms and policies.
Comrade Yahyah reiterated that welfare of members will be given adequate attention if emerge as President on November 26 National Delegate Conference in Owerri Imo State.
Also in her address the Deputy National Presidential Candidate Dr Bimbo Oyetunde who also drum support for AlHassan Yahyah said a vote for A+A will ensure continuity of good governance at the NUJ .
Dr Oyetunde a NAWOJIAN and experienced journalist of over 2 decades promised gender equality in the AlHassan Yahyah led administration.
The decision taken by Oyo NUJ members came a few days after the Lagos state council also adopted AlHassan Yahyah as their sole National Presidential Candidate .
