The Oyo State House of Assembly has suspended the Chairman Oyo East local government, Hon. Olusola Oluokun over misconduct and disrepute of his office
The house made the decision following a matter of urgent public importance brought to the plenary by Hon. Olajide Akintunde on the viral video of the Chairman cursing and praising people on social media.
According to the Lawmaker, the attitude of the Oyo East council Boss is barbaric and calls for urgent attention
The Right Honourable Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin and other lawmakers condemned the action of the chairman and therefore suspended him as the chairman Oyo East local government indefinitely.
The lawmakers directed to handover the affairs of the council to the Vice Chairman and mandated the house committee on local government and Chieftain Matters to commence further investigation on the allegations levied against the suspended Oyo East local government chairman Hon. Olusola Oluokun.
