As activities making the 50th Anniversary and founders Day of the Ijaye High School in Akinyele Local Government rounded off, the 1983 set of the school stole the show with their beautiful attires and superlative performances.
Majority of the members of 83 Set were in native Adire Attire while others dressed neatly with White and cap to fit.
Members of the 1983 set also outclassed other sets with their dancing steps
Aside from delicious native food enjoyed by the members such as Pounded Yam(Iyan) Set 83 also wine and dine with a lot of drinks and Palm wine to drink.
Some Prominent members of 83 Set including a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly Hon Olatunde Kehinde,Egnr Sunbo Abegunde , Reverend Kehinde Akinade and Mr Adeniyi Adeleke were also honored with awards for their great contributions towards the advancement of IJOSA and Ijaye High School.
The President of the 83 Set Alhaji Biliamin Olalekan Omoladun appreciated the support of the members towards ensuring a successful 50th anniversary of Ijaye High School.
According to Alhaji Omoladun the 1983 Set will not relent in their efforts towards contributing their quota to the educational advancement of the school.
The 50th Anniversary of the School also provided an opportunity for 83 Set to unite with one another after 41 years of their passing out from Ijaye High School Ibadan.
The event had in attendance one of the longest serving Principals of the School,Pa Samuel Ojelabi Morakinyo .
Earlier ,the members of 83 Set led by Alhaji Omoladun were also present at the commissioning of the School Entrance Gate held on Thursday.
