Oyo State Governor Engr Seyi Makinde has called for the restoration of the traditional council of Obas and Chiefs in the state for the advancement of the traditional institution

The Governor made the call prior to the presentation of the proposed budget of the year 2025.

According to Makinde there’s a need for the traditional council of Obas in Oyo state to be united and shun individual differences for the betterment of the state.

He noted ,disunity among the traditional rulers in the state has brought a major set back for traditional institutions hence the need to shun their individual differences and work for the advancement of the state

Governor Seyi Makinde while reacting to the protocol observed by the Oyo Assembly said due protocols must be accorded to Monarchs in the state.

The Governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to restore a functional traditional council earlier instituted in 2011 for overall development of the pace setter state.
