A former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly Hon Kolade Olagunju has expressed condolences over the death of children at the Ibadan Children’s Carnival.
Hon Olagunju stated this in a condolence message made available to journalists in Ibadan described the incident as the unfortunate one
According to him, it’s unfortunate that the good intentions of the organizers turned to sad moments and a trending story due to the unfortunate incident that reportedly claimed 30 lives who are children.
While sympathizing with the concerned families over loss of the children, Hon Olagunju called on the state government to take drastic steps to forestall any future occurrence of such incidence.
The Ex lawmaker also commended the state government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde for taking bold steps to address the situation and taking care of those victims currently receiving treatments in Hospital.
Hon Olagunju prayed to God to give the affected families the fortitude to bear the loss.
