The 2024 Annual Thanksgiving Christmas Carol for Kosofe Federal Constituency, hosted by Hon. Kafilat Adetola Ogbara, Member of the Federal House of Representatives, was celebrated in grand style on Monday.

The event, held at the Late Senator Bayo Oshinowo Office in Kosofe Ketu, Lagos, brought joy, empowerment, and hope to the constituents, underscoring the Honourable member’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy.

The celebration began with a soul-lifting Christmas carol service of 9 lessons like never before, featuring ministration from men of God under the leadership of CAN across Kosofe Federal Constituency and a medley of beautiful renditions from the Kosofe Constituency Mass Choir. Invited church choir and Guest artists, including Nike Elegbede, Florence Onakoya, Jeje Praiz, and Shade Success, graced the occasion, delivering heartwarming performances that celebrated the birth of Christ and inspired a spirit of unity and love.

*Empowerment for the People*

The highlight of the day was Hon. Ogbara’s distribution of food items, cash, and empowerment grants. Hundreds of women and youth received instant cash grants of ₦200,000 each, aimed at supporting small businesses and improving livelihoods. These initiatives were drawn from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, which focus on fostering an innovative economy and uplifting low-income earners.

Hon. Ogbara emphasized the administration’s commitment to bettering the lives of Nigerians, urging the people not to be swayed by contrary narratives. “This administration is yours, and every reform being implemented is to ensure a better life for all,” she stated, while encouraging the constituents to remain hopeful and resilient.

*Certificates of Completion and National Recognition*

In addition to the financial empowerment, certificates of completion and cash prizes were awarded to participants of the recently concluded Maryam Babangida National Center for Women Development program. This initiative highlights Hon. Ogbara’s dedication to skill acquisition and capacity building for her constituents.

*A Message of Unity and Kindness*

In her address, Hon. Ogbara encouraged the audience to embrace kindness and unity during the festive season. “As we celebrate the birth of Christ, let us show kindness to one another and work together for a prosperous New Year,” she said, while extending her warm wishes to the people of Kosofe.

The event also served as a testament to Hon. Ogbara’s human-centered approach to governance, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life in Kosofe Federal Constituency. Her efforts to bridge the gap between government policies and grassroots impact were evident, earning her praise and admiration from attendees.

*A Celebration of Hope and Progress*

The 2024 Christmas Carol Thanksgiving was not just a festive gathering but a celebration of hope, progress, and the power of community. Hon. Kafilat Ogbara’s leadership continues to shine as a beacon of democracy, reminding the people of Kosofe that they are at the heart of her representation.

With this initiative, Hon. Ogbara has once again set a high standard for public service, reinforcing the belief that democracy is best served when it directly impacts the lives of the people. The event concluded with a shared sense of gratitude and optimism for the future.
