The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has officially sworn in a new set of appointed supervisory councilors and Special Assistants to oversee some sectors within the local government.

The swearing in ceremony, held on Friday, January 3, at the council secretariat in Idi-Ayunre.

In his address before swearing in the new appointees, Olatunji stressed the importance of the newly inaugurated councilors in driving the local government’s vision of growth and inclusivity. He urged them to approach their roles with dedication, transparency, and accountability.

While urging the new appointees to see their appointments as a call to service, Olatunji called for deepened collaborations, synergy and strategic partnership that would accelerate the actualization of his administration’s vision for Oluyole local government.

“You are now an integral part of this administration, and the people of Oluyole expect nothing less than your best efforts to ensure progress in all sectors.

“Together, we must prioritize initiatives that will improve the standard of living for our people and justify the confidence reposed in you.

” You all know what our leader and mentor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde embodies as a visionary leader with unrelenting dedication and commitment to the well-being of the masses.

“To whom much is given more is expected therefore, whatever you do, ensure it is in the best interest of our people and promotion of good governance particularly at the grassroots, and you can be assured of my continued support at all times,” Olatunji said.

The newly sworn-in supervisory councilors as well as the Special Assistants are as follows:

Supervisory Councilors

Mr. Oluwaji Lekan Asiwaju

Mr. Tewogbade Abiola

Mr.Rabiu Mohammed Adekunle

Special Assistants

The ceremony was attended by the vice chairman, Hon. Niyi Akorede, Leader of Oluyole LG Legislature, Hon. Taofeeq Azeez, top local government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, and party stakeholders, all of whom expressed optimism about the councilors’ capacity to deliver on their mandates.

Olatunji charged the new appointees to hit the ground running as they begin implementing the administration’s agenda for the local government.
