Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as Yayi, presently is the Senator representing Ogun West senatorial district of Ogun State in the upper arm of the national assembly, having served previously in the Lagos State House of Assembly for two terms of four years each, 2003-2007 & 2007-2011, whilst representing the Alimosho state constituency 2. Subsequently, he was elected and represented Alimosho Federal constituency in the House of Representatives for a term of four years, 2011-2015, after which he got the mandate of the people of the Lagos West Senatorial district to represent them for two terms, 2015-2019 & 2019-2023, in the national Assembly.
According to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, his incursion into Ogun state politics was at the instance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and absolute support of the current Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun in whom he has a great respect and gratitude. Yayi disclosed that his primary motive of venturing into Ogun state politics was the strong inclination to bring his wealth of experience and expertise in politics and governance to bear on his home state as the State, (Ogun), deserves no less compared to other neighboring states within the region.

As a senator representing Ogun West since June, 2023, Adeola has shown his commitment to the welfare of his constituents and by extension, Ogun State. His achievements in education, youth empowerment, and infrastructure development are noteworthy.
