It was a show of shame and mockery of democracy at the Grassroot in Oyo state especially in Ido local government as suspected political thugs allegedly sent by the council chairman Hon Sheriff Adeojo beat Ward 4 Councillor Hon Jamiu Olaide to stupor.
The incident which reportedly occurred at 11: 45am of Tuesday left other councilors to run for their lives due to Commando style of leadership of Sheriff Adeojo.
Six months after Hon Sheriff Adeojo re-elected as Chairman Ido local government the council Boss has been using his commando style to torment some councilors and disrupt governance in the council area.
Aside from his unruly behavior to the top officials and civil servants in the local government,the Sheriff Adeojo led administration has created a wide gap between him and Councillors who are legislative arms of the local government.
The recent development which was reported that Sheriff Adeojo led some suspected political thugs 14 in number to beat Councillors who gathered to perform their legislative function was an eye sore
While narrating his ordeal,a councilor in the council area Hon Kazeem Oyepeju representing ward 8 said the suspected thugs sent by the chairman beat Hon Jamiu Olaide from Ward 4 to stupor before it was rescued by some Samaritans.
Investigation also revealed that the leader of the Ido legislative house Deji Adebowale and 2 members Asekunlowo Wasiu and Omotosho Rafiu were allegedly aided by those who mastermind the dastardly act perpetrated on their fellow councilors.

It would be recalled that Sheriff Adeojo had similar issues with the immediate legislative house where it rumored that he will be suspended or impeached by the Chairman.
