No fewer than 500 members of the muslim community in oke ogun zone one, comprising Saki East,Saki West and ATISBO local government areas have benefitted from the philanthropic gesture of a non governmental organization named Irorun Ni Charitable Organization of Nigeria.
The organization, established with a mandate of ameliorating the suffering of the common people, most especially Muslim ummah.
Irorun ni Charitable Organization distributed varieties of food items to 500 beneficiaries across the three council areas in line with lessons of Ramadan.
Items distributed included packs of Rice,Gaari, Spaghetti, noddles among others.
The epoch event held under the auspices of the Baggi of Saki land, Fadilat Sheikh Abdul rosheed Muhammodu gazali and the Balogun Adini of Saki, Chief Abdul rauf Balogun also had in attendance the executives of Irorun ni Charitable Organization from Ibadan,Oyo Ibarapa, Ogbomoso and beyond.
While speaking, prominent members of Irorun ni charitable foundation, comprising the Vice Chairman of the body Sheikh Dr Monsur Abdul salam ,Mallam Taofeek Abdul azeez,Imam Dr Abdul Fatai Shittu Abdul rofih, Dr Musa Alongbija; BOT member,Engr Yunus Gbadamosi (HIMUS) who also doubles as Chairman, Saki Muslim Community, represented by Mallam Sharafadeen Onijo, Alhaji Daud Ademola Hamzat from Iganna and Alhaja Miliat Abdul azeez, coordinator Saki East, Saki West and ATISBO constituencies, took turn to explain the objectives of the foundation and its commitment to people’s welfare.
The Vice Chairman of the foundation Sheikh Dr Monsur Abdul salam,,Dr Abdul Fatai Shittu Abdul rofih and Dr Musa Alongbija in their keynote addresses, said Islam is a religion that beliefs in oneness of Allah, hence, there should not be any discrimination against any one.
They stressed that there is no bias in the religion and there should not be any disparity among the members of the faith.
The leaders urged members of muslim community in the region to be their brothers’ keeper and also protect the sanctity of Islam.
Earlier in his address, the Baggi of Saki appreciated the members of the association for their positive impact in the society.
He charged them not to rest on their oars and also admonished the beneficiaries to accept the gifts with pure heart.
He also commended the leadership acumen and philanthropic deeds of the Aare Alaranse Adini of Oyo State Ambassador Shakirudeen Jimoh Orankan who sponsored the programme.
Various speakers also showered encomium on Alhaja Miliat Abdul azeez for her good representation and leadership acumen.
They urged members across the council areas to support their leaders in oke ogun in their jihadist mission.
