The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes CCII has honoured Honourable Olusoji Olusegun Alade with a special award as the Champion of Ibadan Culture.
The CCII special award programme held at Omo Ajorosun Club House Ibadan was part of activities marking the 2025 Ibadan Cultural Festival
At the Programme the President General of the CCII Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole said Hon Alade deserved the award bestowed on him,especially his contributions to the promotion of Ibadan Cultural heritage.
Chief Ajewole while eulogizing the honouree for his commitment and Philanthropist Gesture,also called on Sons and Daughters of Ibadanland to give development of the ancient City the utmost priority.
The Chairman 2025 Ibadan Cultural Festival Alhaji Yinka Alli said the choice of Hon Olusoji Alade as the Champion of Ibadan Culture was based on the lofty contributions towards the advancement of Ibadanland.
In his remarks, the honouree Hon Olusoji Olusegun Alade thanked the CCII for the honour done on him.
He promised to continue to work for the progress of Ibadanland and oyo state.
The event was attended by political stakeholders including Chairman Ibadan North Local Government Hon Seun Olufade, Former Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government Affairs Hon Kazeem Adeniyi Adeyinka Bibire,Senior Special Assistant to Governor Hon Ramota Agberemi- Dabo,Member House of Assembly Hon Comforter Olajide and Hon Bagudu.
Also in attendance included Former PDP State Secretary Alhaji Wasiu Emiola, PDP leaders in Ibadan North Local Government and prominent members of Omo Ajorosun Club Ibadan.
The honouree Hon Olusoji Olusegun Alade and his wife Adeola later pay homage to the Deputy Governor Governor of Oyo State Barr Bayo Lawal and his wife at his Bashorun residence.
The Deputy Governor Barrister Lawal congratulated the honouree and wished him more success in his future endeavor.
