The Oyo State Government through its Signage and Advertisement Agency, (OYSAA) has commenced a mandatory revalidation exercise for its third-party advertising practitioners.

The Director General, Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Hon. Oludolapo Esho Ajanaku, recently made this known at a two week revalidation exercise.

According to him “the exercise forms a key part of the agency’s strategic effort to create a comprehensive, veritable and digitalized database of all signages and billboards across the state, In line with the OYSAA’s to an agency-approved digital platform.”

Hon. Esho underscored the revalidation process to streamline regulatory oversight, enhance transparency and accountability to improve the efficiency of service delivery of the agency.

He said the State Government has mandated that all registered practitioners should appear at Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency OYSAA’s office, Secretariat Ibadan to update their company’s credentials for accurate confirmation of location approval and tagging off all billboards under the management of the agency.

“To this effect, the revalidation exercise is mandatory for all outdoor practitioners with no options with the stipulated timeframe. Non compliance of the exercise attracts immediate deregistration of such billboard structures and removal of such by the agency without exception”, he said.

Hon. Ajanaku commended Governor Seyi Makinde for creating a business friendly environment and expressed that OYSAA remains committed to a friendly advertising environment.

He urged the advertising practitioners to strictly comply with terms and conditions attached to the revalidation exercise.
