The Germany-based businessman, ICT expert, and 2027 Oyo State governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Aare Olayinka Segelu, has congratulated the Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Kamorudeen Mudasiru, on his recent conferment of the Culture Ambassador Award by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
In a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan on Friday, Aare Segelu described the award as a well-deserved honour that reflects the impactful leadership and developmental strides of Hon. Mudasiru in Lagelu Local Government.
“Hon. Mudasiru has proven to be a dynamic and visionary leader whose commitment to the progress of his people speaks volumes. His recognition by the CCII is an evidence to his dedication, especially in preserving our cultural heritage and improving infrastructure in Ibadanland,” Segelu noted.
The CCII award presentation was held at the Lagelu Local Government Secretariat, Iyana-Offa, and attended by prominent sons and daughters of the council area, including traditional leaders and political figures.
Delivering the keynote during the event, Barr. Ajeniyi Ajewole, President-General of CCII, stated that the award was in recognition of Hon. Mudasiru’s infrastructural achievements and his role in representing the new generation of Ibadan leaders.
Chairman of the Ibadan Week 2025 Committee, Chief Abiola Alli, hailed the honouree as a “true son of Ibadanland” whose leadership has showcased the capacity of young people to chart a bright path for Oyo State and Nigeria.
Aare Segelu lauded Mudasiru’s leadership and urged him to continue delivering good governance at the grassroots.
In his appreciation remarks, Hon. Kamorudeen Mudasiru dedicated the award to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the people of Lagelu, affirming that the recognition would spur him to do more.
“This honour is for every resident of Lagelu. We remain committed to transparent, accountable leadership that places the people first, and we will not relent in ensuring the progress of Ibadanland,” he said.
The Culture Ambassador Award adds to a growing list of accolades received by Hon. Mudasiru within his first year in office, marking him as one of the most promising young leaders in the state.
