As Nigeria reached its 26 years of uninterrupted transition of government from Military to Civil rule, former Member of the Oyo state House of Assembly Hon Kolade Olagunju has eulogized Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for his exemplary leadership in the last 6 years in running the affairs of the state.
Hon Olagunju in a statement made available to newsmen said the Seyi Makinde led administration has recorded tremendous successes especially in the area of infrastructure that targeted towards boosting the economy and the internally Generated Revenue of the state.
According to him, Governor Makinde has been committed to redefining good governance with a focus on people-oriented policies that will change the state from poverty to prosperity.
” Under Omituntun 1 point Zero and Omituntun 2 point Zero, priority attention was given to four cardinal programmes of the present administration which aimed at delivering the dividends of democracy to the people through security, Health, Education and Agriculture” .
” Today, some parts of the state especially the geo-political zones have been linked with each other through construction of road networks and thereby boosting the economy of the state. Oyo state has been a perfect destination for both local and foreign investors to establish their companies and businesses due to the improved security architecture put in place by the government.” Olagunju said.
Hon Olagunju also charged Mr. Governor not to relent in his quest to maintain the pacesetting status of Oyo State and lay a Solid foundation for a better Oyo State.
While congratulating Governor Seyi Makinde for clocking 6 years in office, Hon Olagunju also urged people of the state to contribute their quota towards the advancement of state and shun any act that could truncate the peace and progress of the state.
