The Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, has expressed profound sorrow over the demise of Ambassador Ibironke Adefope, former Nigerian High Commissioner to Zambia and Malawi.
In his condolence message, on Tuesday, Dr. Adeniran described Amb. Adefope as a remarkable individual who made significant contributions to the nation.
Dr. Nureni Adeniran praised Amb. Adefope as “a woman of class, style, panache, integrity, and limitless capacity”.
Adeniran added that the late Adefope was a mother to many, who preferred solutions to knotty issues, with her wisdom.
Dr. Adeniran’s reaction to Amb. Adefope’s passing highlights the respect and admiration she garnered across various spheres of Oyo State society.
He said, “As a prominent figure in Oyo State, Amb. Adefope’s legacy continues to inspire many.”
Governor Seyi Makinde also mourned Amb. Adefope’s passing, describing Oyo State as having “lost an Amazon”. This sentiment underscores the significant impact Amb. Adefope had on the state and its people.
