A fashion designer, Susan John has won the 2nd Edition of Joshua Kolade Olagunju’s Half a Million Naira Entrepreneurship Grant.
After critical screening process, the committee considered Susan John as the winner and second recipient of the grant, having met up with the criteria stipulated for the grant.
Also, Damilola Akinfenwa, Oluwatoyin Fagbemi, Ifeoluwa Ayodele and Glory Olayemi Ruth received 50,000 Naira each for their superlative presentations.
According to the Initiator of JKO’s Entrepreneurship Grant, Hon Kolade Olagunju, his vision is to support the young entrepreneur to be an employer of Labour thereby reducing the unemployment rate in the society.
Hon Olagunju who is a grassroot politician, prominent Broadcaster and a life coach said there is joy in lifting people from abject poverty to prosperity.
“I thank God for the successful completion of the 2nd edition of JKO’s Entrepreneurship Grant. It is my vision to assist people to actualize their dreams by becoming employers of labour rather than being a job seeker. The task of reducing poverty in Nigeria can not be left in the hands of government alone but must be seen as a collective responsibility of all.” Olagunju said.
In a chat with the winner, Susan Ayomi John, she expressed her appreciation to God who gave Hon Kolade Olagunju the grace to organize the Entrepreneurship grant.
She said the money transferred to her account has been used to purchase some fashion designing equipment for the upgrading of her professional techniques.
Susan called on well meaning Nigerians to emulate Hon Olagunju’s style of giving back to the society and reducing unemployment rate in the country.
Recall that a graphic designer, Marvellous also won the first edition of JKO’S Entrepreneurship grant.
