As the 2027 general election is fast approaching,The Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu has begun consultations with stakeholders of All Progressives Congress in Ogbomoso Zone
Prior to the commencement of the meeting,the Minister paid homage to Iya Alaro house of the former governor of oyo state, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala where he offered prayers for the repose of the deceased.
At the APC stakeholders meeting held at Senator Ayoade Adeseun’s house,Chief Adelabu said the essence of the visit is to consult with all chieftains of the party on his readiness to contest for the 2027 Governorship election.
According to the Power Minister, it’s high time for members of the party to work collectively to put APC to the helms of affairs in Oyo state.
” My Stakeholders consultations tour to Ogbomoso Zone is to officially seek your permission and support for the primary election next year. The journey to 2027 starts now hence the need for me to embark on wide political consultations so that the party can regain its status in the state”
As a serving Minister and member of APC , it’s my duty to project the laudable efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and ensure that dividends of Democracy are spread to the people through my ministry” Adelabu said
At Ogbomoso, Former member of the National Assembly Representing Oyo Central Senatorial District Senator Ayo Adeseun said the stakeholders consultation meeting is a bold step towards ensuring unity of APC in the state.
Senator Adeseun also optimistic that APC will have upper hands in the forthcoming Governorship election in the state.
Addressing Stakeholders in Oyo zone,Chief Adelabu said it’s imperative for members of APC to work harmoniously at ensuring victory of the Party at the state at federal.
In their remarks in Ogbomoso and Oyo Zones Stakeholders meeting, Hon Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala and Prince Akeem Adeyemi known as Skimeh described the move by the minister as a necessary step towards uniting the party stakeholders together ahead of the 2027 general election
Other stakeholders from Oyo and Ogbomoso who spoke at the consultation meeting also harped on the peaceful primary elections for the advancement of the party.
