The Newly elected President of the Department of Peace, Security and Humanitarian Studies Students Association DEPSHSSA Comrade Wale Azeez alongside other executives have been inaugurated to run the affairs of the Association for the period of one year.
Dr Abiodun Francis administered the Oath of office to the new executives on behalf of the Head of Department Dr Olusola Ishola.
In his remarks the DEPSHSSA Staff Adviser Dr Oladejo charged the new executives to brace for the task ahead and align their efforts with relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) especially those connected to peace, security and Humanitarian engagement.
In his short address,The Newly inaugurated President DEPSHSSA Comrade Abeeb Wale Azeez said the welfare of students through programmes and policies will be given adequate attention.
Comrade Abeeb Wale popularly known as Passion also solicited the support of the Stakeholders in the Department and members of the Association in carrying out the lofty programmes aimed at bringing much needed development to the department and university of Ibadan at large.

The National Secretary of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) Dr Olanrewaju Yusuf also graced the occasion and joined in *presenting Certificates of Return to all elected officers, alongside the departmental leadership.

The new administration, under the banner of Team Audacious Action is now set to begin its service to students with vision, responsibility, and collective action.
The inauguration of Comrade Wale Azeez as President DEPSHSSA came barely 2 days after the department celebrated its 10 years of producing Peace scholars in the country.
