A notable politician, Hon. Semiu Folarin, has officially abandoned the People’s Democratic Party, opting instead to align with the (ROCOF) All Progressives Congress. Concurrently.
He tendered his resignation letter in conjunction with 14 fellow influential political figures from ward 4, Ido local government
According to him,the high hardedness in ido pdp necessitated his move to APC to compliment the renewed hope Agenda for President Bola Tinubu and Engr Remi Oseni the founder of ROCOF
Chief Semiu Opeyemi Folarin popularly known as Olorunero said he will work with the executive of ward 4 in Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF) and APC Ido local government to reclaim Oyo state for the party
“We, the undersigned Chieftains of the PDP Ward 4, Ido Local Government, respectfully submit our resignation, effective today, October 31, 2025, citing the party’s failure to uphold its constitution, ensure accountability, and maintain its values and principles, which have been compromised by the Executive Chairman and party excos.”
“With due respect and honour, we, the undersigned Chieftains of the PDP Ward 4, Ido Local Government, hereby resign our membership, effective October 31, 2025. This decision is due to the party’s inability to provide adequate direction in line with its constitution, lack of accountability, erosion of equality among members, and the compromise of the party’s values and principles by the Executive Chairman of Ido LG and the party excos.’
“We cannot continue to stay and lead within a party whose executives and chairman exhibit unfair governance.” Folarin said
