The immediate past Bursar for Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora and a forensic expert, Dr. Sarafa Agbogun has applauded the Rector of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi and the entire Management of the institution for the unprecedented Staff Development, Capacity building and promotion of Staff members, annually.
Dr. Agbogun who was overwhelmed with joy following the recent PhD convocation of four Staff of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora which included; Dr. Joshua Taiwo, a Deputy Bursar, Dr. Kolawole Atanda, the Director of Audit, Dr. Adeyinka Akintunde, Former Dean, Faculty of Management and Communications and Dr. Semiu Emiola, the Head of Business Administration Department at the 17th Convocation ceremony of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, described Staff capacity development in OYSCATECH as unparalleled.
In his congratulatory letter to the Rector, which was made available to the Public Relations Officer of the Institution, Mrs. Opeyemi Olawore, Dr. Agbogun noted that between 2024 and 2025, over eighteen (18) staff members bagged PhD from various universities, including Master’s Degree, additional Degrees and professional certifications from professional bodies.
He congratulated the Rector for his presence at the 17th Convocation Ceremony of Ajayi Crowther University in order to witness the ceremony and to present a congratulatory message to the Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the institution.
He revealed that the kind of academic attainment and growth, recorded by OYSCATECH Staff are not common in a Polytechnic set up, while maintaining that annually, a larger percentage of Staff of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora acquire PhD certificates, MSc, Bachelor’s Degrees and Professional certifications.
Dr. Agbogun commended the Management of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora under the leadership of Prof. Akinola Akinlabi for providing enabling environment for Staff members to develop their capacity, while noting that OYSCATECH is a potential University with the level of its capacity development.
He also appreciated the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for the sponsorship of some of the staff members in order to improving their capacity.
Dr. Agbogun saluted the doggedness of the Staff Members in improving their capacity, while congratulating those who have recently been conferred with Doctoral Degrees (PhD) at various Universities between 2024 and 2025, some of which include; Dr. Joshua Taiwo, Dr. Kolawole Atanda, Dr. Semiu Emiola, Dr. M.
