Big guns from Accord Party have rallied behind Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat’s governorship bid in Oyo State .
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, National Secretary Adebukola Ajaja, and State Chairman Prince Kolade Ojo were among those who threw their support behind Hamzat at a declaration of intent event at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan .
Adeleke, represented by Hon Biyi Odunlade, pledged Osun and Oyo Accord’s collective effort to spread the party’s tentacles across the southwest through good governance . “My principal is fully behind Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat’s governorship ambition,” he said .
Accord National Chairman, Barrister Maxwell, welcomed Hamzat to the party, promising good governance and democracy dividends if he wins .
“Our gathering here is not just a welcome, but a show of Accord as a movement driven by public interest,” he said
Ajaja, Ojo, and other Accord executives hailed Hamzat’s emergence as a game-changer, declaring the party a threat to beat in the 2027 governorship polls .
With this show of support, Hamzat’s bid just got a major boost.
