Hajj 2025: Kwara Amirul-Hajj Restates Commitment To Collaborating With MPW
The Kwara State Amirul-Hajj and the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahya Alebiosu, has restated his commitment to collaborating with the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to ensure a successful, hitch-free Hajj operation this year.
Oba Alebiosu stated this on Monday when he received members of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board on a familiarization visit, led by the Chairman of the Board, Prof. Mahmud-Mashood Jimba at his residence in Ilorin.
Oba Alebiosu, a first-class monarch in the state, expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for appointing him to lead the State’s Hajj delegation to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
The Amirul-Hajj appealed for support from the board members in order to ensure a successful and hitch-free Hajj exercise.
He also commended the Pilgrims Board for its proactive approach and urged the officials to maintain transparency and accountability in handling the affairs of the pilgrims.
Earlier, the Board Chairman, Prof. Mahmud-Mashood Jimba explained that the familiarization visit was to provide ample opportunity to formally brief the newly appointed Amirul-Hajj on the state’s level of preparedness for the upcoming May 2025 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
The Chairman called for the cooperation and support of the Amirul-Hajj and other stakeholders to ensure a successful Hajj operation.
He assured the 2025 Amirul-Hajj of the board’s maximum support in ensuring a seamless and well-coordinated Hajj operation for intending pilgrims from the state.
The Board, he noted, had been working diligently to finalise logistics, accommodation, medical arrangements, and pilgrims’ welfare packages, in line with the guidelines set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Saudi Arabian authorities.
Prof. Jimba promised the readiness of the board members to work together with the Amirul-Hajj to have a successful Hajj exercise.
With barely two months to the commencement of Hajj operation, the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has assured that it will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place for a stress-free and spiritually fulfilling journey to Saudi Arabia.
The Chairman was accompanied on the visit by the Executive Secretary, Alh. Abdulsalami Abdulkadir, Alh. Abdulrasheed Bube and other members of the Board.
