The Executive Chairman Lagelu Local Government Hon Kamorudeen Mudasiru has emphasized the need for people of his council area to continue to ensure peaceful coexistence in their respective domains
The Council Boss states this at the first Ramadan Lecture organized by the Lagelu local government.
According to him, Islam is the religion of peace hence the need for Muslims to shun any act that capable of truncating peace and progress of lagelu local government and Oyo State in general.
He also commended Oyo State Governor Engr Seyi Makinde for the support given to the local government administration and for creating an enabling environment in the state.
“This is the first Ramadan Lecture organized by the Authority of lagelu local government under my watch Our intension is to seek Allah’s mercy in the holy month and pray for the advancement of our council area and Oyo State.” Kamorudeen said
In his lecture the Chief of Offa Sheikh Muideen Salman whose lecture was centred on leadership and followership responsibilities in moving the nation’s forward said everyone has a crucial role to play for the advancement of the country.
The Cleric urged both religious and political leaders to see their positions as a divine trust .
In their separate remarks, former senator representing Oyo central, Senator monsurat sunmonu, Honourable representing Akinyele/Lagelu Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede and Honorable representing Lagelu in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Akintunde Emmanuel and S.A. to gov. Makinde all commended the efforts of the local government chairman.
The event featured special prayers for Lagelu local government leadership under Hon Kamorudeen Mudasiru, Governor Seyi Makinde led government and Nigeria at large.
