Prominent Nigerians led by the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasheed Ladoja, on Saturday, attended the Ramadan lecture hosted by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao (Allow Alao).

Others at the event include the Alajia of Ajia, Oba Nureni Adegbenro; Senator Yunus Akintunde represented by Hon. Abiodun Adeyemi; the state Chairman of APC, Alhaji Olaide Abas; a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Adepeju Esan and Prof. K. K. Oloso.

Also present were Oyo State APC Woman Leader, Alhaja Tinuade Adigun; Prince Gbade Lana; Mogaji Abass Oloko; Architect Ganiyu Lawal and Hon. Remi Sodiq.

A renowned cleric, Shaykh Sulaimon Amubieya, while delivering the lecture titled, “Mirror of Life and the aftermath” said each individual is the mirror of his or herself, stating that destiny is older than the world itself.

According to him, the blessing of God in the life of His creations cannot be tampered with, noting that the relationship one has with God would determine the success one would attain in life.

The Mudeer Daarul Hadith Ibadan, charged Muslim faithful to always put their trust in God who is all knowing and powerful, insisting that whatever one becomes in life is because God allows it.

He said, “It is important for us to look at ourselves in the mirror and whatever we see is who we are. As a creation of Almighty God, it behoves on human beings to have good relationship with Him and there is no doubt that it is this that will determine the altitude we would reach in life.”

Oba Ladoja who was the Chairman at the event, while commending the guest lecturer for his thought provoking lecture, said Islam is a religion of peace, declaring that human beings must be careful so as not to be the architects of their misfortune.

Alao in his own remarks, lauded Oba Ladoja for accepting to be the Chairman at the event, stating that his presence has further portrayed him as a statesman who is a leader to all irrespective of one’s status in the society.

He also thanked the Alajia, the guest lecturer and other guests for gracing the occasion, insisting that he was overwhelmed by their attendance at the spiritually edifying event.
