The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1 has promised to support the security architecture in the state in addressing issue of insecurity that brings about skyrocketing food prices.
Oba Owoade made the pledge while hosting market leaders council led by Asiwaju yekeen Abass at his Boroboro palace in Ancient Oyo town.
Addressing the representatives of the traders, market leaders , cluster groups, tradesmen and artisans, from the seven Geopolitical zones of the state, which includes Ibarapa, Oke Ogun 1and 2, Oyo, Ibadan, and Ogbomosho, the Alaafin of Oyo, oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1 thank the market leaders for coming together to pay homage and assured them of improved security with the efforts put in place by both the state and federal government.
The courtesy call of market leaders council to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1 was a time for cluster groups of traders, market leaders to close ranks and champion a way forward for trading activities in the state.
Earlier in his remarks the Babaloja general of Oyo State Asiwaju yekeen Abass said the courtesy call is to pay homage to the new Royal father and solicit his support towards crisis free trading.
Asiwaju Yekeen Abass had earlier informed the Royal father what members of the traders association were confronted with in a bid bring goods to various markets especially from the farm.
In his goodwill message at the homage paying,the president Artisans and tradesmen in Oyo state,Chief Yisau Hamzat stated that the visit to the palace have bring together all the market leaders and settled all crisis.
