In a bid to contribute to the educational advancement of the Urban Day Grammar,the Old Students Association has handed over Multi million Naira ICT Laboratory Examination Review Library and Science Laboratory to the oyo state government for proper maintenance.
The project champion by the Urban Day Grammar school Old Students Association was part of efforts made by the Association towards contributing to their Alma mater.
While Commissioning the projects on behalf of the state government, the Commissioner for Education in the state,Mr Olusegun Olayiwola lauded the old students of the Association of the school for being given back to their Alma mata
He reiterated the commitment of the state government to continue to create an enabling environment for relevant Stakeholders to contribute their quota towards the advancement of the education sector in the state.
Also the Chairman Egbeda local government Hon Sikiru Sanda urged others to emulate old students Association of Urban Day in the spirit of giving back to their Alma mata
The council boss promised to collaborate with the Association in their lofty programmes aimed at improving the standard of education in the school.
In their remarks ,the principal Senior School 1 Mrs Iyabo Adewumi and Principal Urban Day Grammar School 2 Mrs Shakirat Adepoju said the ICT Lab and Examination Review Library will further aid both teaching and learning activities in the school.
In his address the Alumni President Urban Day Grammar School old students Association Mr Sanya Akande said the Association is working all round towards ensuring a conducive environment for the students through provision of basic education facilities in the school.
He charged the school management and students to make judicious use of the multi million naira projects..
Alumni Subcommittee members Oladele Tanimowo, Iskeel Taiwo and Otunba Jimy Bolusere advised students to make judicious use of the projects to improve their knowledge.
