Former Member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Kolade Olagunju has joined other notable Nigerians to felicitate a silent Philanthropist and community leader, Chief Benedict Akiika on the occasion of his birthday.
Hon Olagunju in a congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Ibadan, described Chief Benedict Akiika as one of the allies of Governor Seyi Makinde who is passionate about supporting people through Philanthropic gestures.
According to him, Chief Akiika’s milk of kindness has consistently touched the lives of women, especially widows and the less privileged through empowerment and skills acquisition Programme.
The lawmaker noted that the celebrant has contributed greatly to his immediate community through some laudable projects such as Construction of Police Station and Mosque, Drilling of Motorized Boreholes and community projects in both Lagelu and Akinyele local government.
“Since the inception of the Seyi Makinde led administration in the state, the Agbaakin of Olorunda Aba has played a significant role especially in the area of empowerment, health, education and security towards complementing the efforts of the Governor in the sectors. Despite not holding any political position, Chief Akiika remained resolute in his quest to transform the lives of the people through Omituntun Benedict Akiika Forum”
“The celebrant has become a household name in Akinyele-Lagelu Federal Constituency and some parts of the State by ensuring close contact with people, irrespective of their ethnic, political or religious affiliations”, Olagunju said.
Hon Olagunju, who is a motivational speaker and life coach urged the celebrant not to be discouraged by the pressures and demands from people but prayed to God to continue to provide for Chief Akiika for the benefit of the people.
