About 250 widows and less privileged in Ward 12, Ibadan South East Local Government have benefited from Ala care foundation, an initiative of Hon Oludamilola Oluwole-ALA
Stakeholders and community leaders gathered to oversee the distribution of cash gifts to widows and the less privileged in Ward 12, Ibadan South East Local Government, spearheaded by the initiator of ALA Care Foundation Oyo state Nigeria, Hon Oludamilola Oluwole-ALA
According to his representative Mrs Folashade Oluyede , the empowerment program aims to alleviate some of the financial hardships faced by these vulnerable members of the community.
Mrs Shade Oluyede emphasized the for well meaning Nigerians to emulate the philanthropist gesture of Hon Oludamilola-ALA for the advancement of the society.
In his remarks, one of the members of the Board of Trustees of ALA Care Foundation, Mr Kehinde Oladoyinbo said the foundation which kickstarted 5 years ago is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those in need to ensure continuity and progress in the community.
He added the exercise is part of corporate social responsibility of ALA Care Foundation towards cushioning the economic hardship in Ibadan South East local government
Some Stakeholders who spoke at the programme including Ambassador Olugbenga Curtis,Egnr Ademola Abiola, Iyaloja of Scout Camp Market Challenge Ibadan, Mrs Bukola Adegoke, gave kudos to Hon Oluwole-ALA and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the funds they have received
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the cash gift, noting that it brings them joy and some relief during this time.
In a telephone chat with Mediareportsng Hon Oludamilola Oluwole-ALA said nothing is too small or big to give back to the society and most importantly the people of Ibadan South East local government.
” My philanthropist activities started 12 years ago when I distributed kerosene to people with an intension of rendering assistance to the needy irrespective of their political, religion or ethnic affiliations hence the need for the establishment of ALA Care foundation”
Hon Oludamilola-ALA assured that the second batch of the programme will soon be carried so as to reach out to more people.
