The Oyo Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has approved the regularisation and integration of the 129 floating staff members of the Defunct Oyo State Agricultural Development Programme (OYSADEP) into the mainstream of the State Civil Service.
This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, during a press briefing held at the press briefing room of the Governor’s office, Agodi Ibadan.
Addressing the Newsmen, the state commissioner for Information and orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Commended Governor Seyi Makinde on his workers friendly polices, as he also expressed gratitude to the governor for reabsorbing 129 floating staff members of the Defunct Oyo State Agricultural Development Programme (OYSADEP) into the mainstream of the State Civil Service who will henceforth enjoy their promotions and other entitlements as civil servants.
Also Speaking , the state commissioner for budget and economic planning, Prof. Musibau Babatunde, hinted that the State council has approved the sum of Six Hundred and Ninety One Million Three Hundred and Seven Thousand, Thirty Nine Naira, Eighty Six kobo.(₦691,307,39.86) to be invested in Wema Bank Right Issuance Program.
He said this investment will help the state government to prepare and secure the financial buoyancy of future administrations in the state.
Prof. Babatunde also disclosed that the council has approved the sum of ₦10billion facility to provide counterpart funding for World Bank assisted projects in the State
In his address at the briefing, the commissioner for public works and transport, Prof. Daud Sangodoyin said the state executive council has approved the sum of ₦3.5billion naira for the clearing of the 36.7km northeast side of Sen. Rashidi Ladoja Ibadan circular road.
He said the new phase of the project which will complement the completed southeast side of the road will last for the period of six months.
Prof. Sangodoyin also added that the council has approved the reconstruction of the 0.5km Mapo roundabout to Oritamerin road in Ibadan at the sum of Three Hundred Seventy Three Million Naira, Eight Hundred and Nine Thousand, Five Hundred and Thirty Nine Naira, and Forty One KOBO, ₦373,809,539.41
