In a bid to ensure effective and efficient administration in Itesiwaju local government the Chairman of the council area Honourable Ojo Monsur Olayemi has solicited the support and prayers of traditional rulers in order to achieve remarkable success .
Hon. Olayemi, who stated this during his courtesy visit to the Olokaka of Okaka,His Majesty Oba Abdul azeez Olatunji Ayoola Ogelende in his palace,emphasized the importance of traditional institution as custodian of cultural heritage and agent of progress, hence his decision to pay homage to the monarch in appreciation of his fatherly roles in the council.
According to the council boss, his administration will adopt an open door policy and give necessary recognition to traditional rulers in the council.
He urged the traditional rulers to support his administration.
Oba Ayoola Olatunji while speaking, expressed his satisfaction and support to the newly sworn in chairman and urged him to be transparent in his set goals.
He admonished Hon.Olayemi to run an inclusive governance and embark on people oriented programmes across the council area.
Oba Ayoola Olatunji admonished the council boss to identify the peculiar needs and yearnings of each town under Itesiwaju Local Government and address them.
The Olokaka also charged the council boss to build a harmonious relationship with council career officers towards achieving unprecedented development.
In their separate remarks, former chairman, okaka community, Deacon Sunday Idowu Orokunle, chairman, okaka community, Reverend Jeremiah Adeosun and Ooto of okakaland, High Chief Salaudeen Ayanwale appreciated the council boss Hon Olayemi and his team for the visit and admonished him to seek for mentorship from appropriate quarters.
They urged him to unite the people of the council through good governance and work hard to surpass the achievement of his predecessors.
