Successful individuals in Nigeria have been charged to imbibe the habit of giving back to their communities and the less privileged in order to please God.
This admonition came on the heels of a 3 day free medical mission organised by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo foundation in collaboration with Chief Ahmed Raji SAN.
The 3 day free medical mission for the people of South West with the theme, ‘Sound Intervention Mission’ was meant to treat over ten thousand people with various medical conditions free of charge.
The epoch event held at Iseyin, had in attendance the trio of the Aseyin of Iseyin, His Majesty Oba Sefiu Olawale Ajirotutu 1 ,the Okere of Saki His Majesty Oba Khalid Olabisi Oyeniyi Ayinla ado and Iba of Kishi His Majesty Oba Moshood Aweda who led other Oke Ogun Traditional rulers.
The occasion was graced by religious leaders led by the Chief Imam of Iseyin land, Alhaji Sheikh Akeem Olajori and the CAN Chairman, Iseyin chapter, Senior Apostle Ogundairo S A, along with several political stalwarts.
While speaking with newsmen, Chief Ahmed Raji, SAN appreciated former president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for the initiative.
Chief Ahmed,who commended Chief Obasanjo’s kind gesture, expressed his readiness to always support any noble idea that will ameliorate people’s suffering.
While showering encomium on Chief Obasanjo for his philanthropic gesture, the legal luminary disclosed that kits distributed to the hearing impaired people worth three million naira each.
He therefore admonished all the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the materials in order to encourage the donor.
The Iseyin-born legal icon also urged the masses to start electing reliable and energetic youths with noble ideas into political offices.
According to him, the likes of late General Muritala Muhammed and General Olusegun Obasanjo retired and ruled the country in their forties.
Several people, including Alhaji Memudu RA and Mrs Adebunmi Kaseem with eye challenges enjoyed free treatment at the programme.
The epoch event was also attended by both former and present chairmen of iseyin local government, Alhaji Saheed Alaran and Hon Rasaq Fadiran respectively.
